Question by Jon: What type of court should I take my employer to if they never reported and paid taxes withheld on my paycheck?
I’ve recently filed for unemployment and discovered that my former employer had never reported and paid taxes to the State of Pennsylvania.

What type of court can I take my employer to?

I don’t want to hire a expensive lawyer for this as I really don’t need one as all of the facts have been discovered.

None. The primary responsibility to report your income and pay your taxes is yours, not theirs. That’s why the Commonwealth makes you fill out that tax form every year.

That having been said, they can get into trouble with the Commonwealth for not doing the proper reporting and withholding. That could lead to stiff fines, but it won’t help your situation.

I’m not trying to be unsympathetic, just realistic. You should contact the PA Department of Labor and talk it over with them.

I need to know the likelyhood of it being done. I am being sued over injuries that occured to a person when I was attacked over two years ago. DA finding was not to prosecute(me)-self-defense. I did not try to file anything, she punished herself enough I thought. She was careflighted to a hospital and I think she had to have surgery pretty quickly. I need to know if she was checked for anything. I had deposition today and her side still has not presented medical records of her injuries, my lawyer feels she is trying to hide something. From what I understand she was on drugs. If there is a toxicolgy report then I can rest that this will be over once and for all. My lawyer says we will get the records but I don’t know how long that will take. I just want to know now so I don’t fret anymore about it. Thank you….

in serious injuries,it depends on the state.most do though.some states view this as a invasion of privacy.

If you used a lawyer then yes about a third of it. As for the time If you signed all the papers within no more than 2 weeks would be my guess. I got mine in 3 days.

I just have my pre Trial yesterday and My lawyer ask me accept insurance offer and I declined.
now my Trial in just 2 months in ontario.
He want to get off from record.
But when we sign the agreement there is no such things he don’t want to rep. in the court.
What he is corrupted, did he get some money from insurance.
What I do …

For all retainers. Say for instance Visa, deportation. The illegal who never had a visa trying to get a sponsored fiancee visa. Just need to know if the immigration lawyer are shakedown ambulance chasers. Or legit. Can the do things above the immigration law. Just give me some ideas with all type of visas and some past histories.

deportation hearings my be in two parts. first to get you out 2500. plus bail, need 10% for bail bond but credit card or house for the say 7500. bail amount. cash would be 20% or 1250.00. the lawyer then charges 3500.00 to make probably 3 deportation hearings. If they are real nice maybe they will throw in starting your papers.
For a visa (work) they are limited so be ware. No they may tell you they can, but if the person is here and has been caught before the chances are 1, 5, or 10 years no entrance.
For instance— stepson married usa cit had a child and when it was time to pick up his visa in ciudad juarez. he was told he would have to wait a year—he was the sole support of this family and now he is gone. He did not use a lawyer.

I was recently in an accident, i didn’t have a valid DL nor insurance,i rear ended this lady, who was stoped cause of traffic, i couldn’t see her till it was too late because of the sun was way too bright, im not the first that has been in an accident in that area for that same reason, plus the stripes on the street are barley visible, well i got a ticket for no DL, no insurance, and failure to control speed( i was going like 30 MPH), while cops showed up, i asked her if she was ok she said yes, no one was hurt but my car was not drivable, so she drove off and i called wrecker, know i rreceivea letter of a claim from her for 15k, claiming her car and ppossiblysome injuries, can she do that after she said she was ok and drove off? And what should i do??

I’m 22 and although I am on the doctor tract, I actually am thinking about the law and have had many times when I needed to look up my rights or defend a case against corporations, businesses, etc. I was wondering what type of lawyer does law to help the little people like me who get screwed over by Ebay, Bank of America, and the like? Is that a corporate lawyer? or civil rights?

The few places he told me to call said they no longer accept them! I also think that since my case-however important to me-is one of his smaller ones, I’m kinda on my own when it comes to finding a doc. Anyone either know of a PT ANYWHERE in nj, how to get around needing a letter of protection in the case of a car accident or any other advice? Help!! thanks in advance.
